Readings Heb 7-10

"And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance."

And those who aren't? If all are called then the wording would have been different no?

Some aren't called O_O. Some people have never heard of the Way but there are those that hear but do not hear. Maybe those are the ones that aren't called...

  1. being called is not just a matter of hearing about Jesus from some preacher or evangelist.
it's an inward testimony by the Holy Spirit, according to His purpose in election.

the sad, yet logical conclusion is that there are 'christians' who do not infact have true faith, thus are not called. however, we do not know, nor should we attempt to even try to be the judge of who is called and who is not.

rather, we should use this doctrine to put God in the centre and realize:
    - He can do as He pleases.
    - He does all things for His own glory.
    - He owes us (or anyone else for that matter) nothing.
    - We should be THAT much more grateful that He has saved us, because we are just as deserving as those who have never even heard of Jesus, to go to hell.
